Twilight in Forks!!!!!!

This was my favorite part of the trip so far.  We spent two nights in Forks and I had so much fun.  We went and saw all the sights on the Twilight Tour.  Even though the movie wasn't filmed here, the town set up places that go along with what was written in the book.  And I bought a lot of stuff.

This is Bella's truck from the book.

This is Bella's truck from the movie.

This is Bella's house in Forks!

Dr. Cullen's parking spot!

The sign for Forks High School.  They're getting a brand-new school soon.

This is where Charlie works.

The Cullen House

Jacob's House!!!!!

First Beach--where Bella and Jacob meet for the first time!

Julie found this on the beach...she said it must've been Quileute magic!!

The treaty line!!  No vampires beyond this point!

I'm Jacob's girl!  Don't want any vampires down here!

I was very sad to leave.  I really want to go back again and get more Twilight things!  I bought a poster of Jacob, a wolf necklace, wolf earrings, the bracelet Bella wears that has the wolf and the heart on it, a Jacob t-shirt, and an Edward t-shirt.

Camping

We drove through Oregon and stayed overnight on our way to camp on the beach in Washington.

We made hot dogs and had S'mores.  They were good and I was hungry.  I ate three hot dogs!

The night in the tent was okay.  It was very crowded in there, but I did sleep warmly.  We got up and walked on the beach at 6:30 in the morning hoping to find some treasures, but there wasn't anything.

California!

We did a lot of fun things in California.  We got to San Rafael really late but went on down to the Golden Gate Bridge.  I really wanted to walk out on the bridge but there was construction and we couldn't get on the bridge.  Here is a photo Julie took of it.

The next day we went to Crescent City, California.  We stopped at some beaches along the way.  Julie and I found a sand dollar and I saw three starfish in a cave!  It was awesome!  I tried to peel them off the rocks but I couldn't get them to let go.

Here is me hugging a redwood tree.

We saw a big statue of Paul Bunyan and his ox Babe at the Trees of Mystery tour.

Las Vegas

When leaving Utah, we passed through Arizona and Nevada!

There were different things there, some I can't say.  I enjoyed looking around at Caesar's Palace in the garden.  Inside, I took a picture with Caesar!

I would really like to come back here again some day.

Zion

We went on the shuttle to go to Emerald Pools.  We saw a rattlesnake while passing through the trail and took a picture of it from the path.

Then we made it back to the pools and since I was hot I went under the water that poured down off the cliffs.  And we heard frogs that sounded like woodpeckers.

We went on the shuttle and met a man and we talked about lots of different things on the drive to the Visitors Center.  And we found out later that he is actually a film director of a film called "Dispatch."  And he also directs TV shows like "Community" and edited shows like "Entourage."

Arches

Well, it was a long hike but it was beautiful.   There were many formations, but my favorite was the Three Gossips.  They looked like women in kimonos gossiping all the time.

On one of the hikes I met a girl named Sophie.  She has depth-perception issues and has to walk with the aid of her parents on these hikes.  I gave her my walking stick and helped her down the stairs and she was walking down the steps on her own with it.

I did notice how many of the rock formations looked like Egyptian carvings and coffins or sarcophagus.  I kept seeing them everywhere.  This one looks like Queen Nefertiti's head!

Here is a picture of Balanced Rock. The "Chip off the Old Block" was there but fell in the winter of some year.  The lower portion of the formation is Dewey rock, which erodes.  The top portion is the harder slickrock which does not erode as easily.  So soon the rock will fall, just like Chip.

Finally, here is Delicate Arch.  So small because we went to a small look-out.  We didn't do the real hike because we were scared and we couldn't cross it because there was a big canyon and I couldn't go by it.  I just took a far away picture.

Our first days...

At Pagosa Springs my grandparents were so nice to give a cheaper ,but nice springs.I enjoyed the beauty of the camp, and I even met a young woman named Julia.

Julia and I took a hike by the rivers streams. Although she had flipflops on they didn't flow away(Thank goodness).

Julia also found a Horned frog and I caught it. The frog was smaller than I thought .
